Danny Murphy thinks reported Chelsea target Anthony Gordon has the potential to progress into a superstar.
Everton youngster Gordon, 21, is a player at the centre of a transfer saga right now.
It’s been reported that Everton have rejected Chelsea’s offer of £45million for the exciting attacker, who could cost at least £50million to sign.
He’s a versatile forward that’s grown into a really important first-team player at Goodison Park, especially since the summer sale of Richarlison to Tottenham.

Gordon can progress into superstar
TalkSPORT pundit Murphy is absolutely convinced Everton’s academy graduate has a big future ahead of him.
He thinks the 21-year-old winger wouldn’t even be a risk for Chelsea to sign this summer, suggesting he’s already good enough to push for a spot in Thomas Tuchel’s Blues XI.
“You’re talking about getting him for the next seven of eight years at the club. You’re talking about someone who could progress into a superstar. He’s really good. He’s not a risk,” Murphy told talkSPORT.
“If you know football, and you’ve watched him enough, he is not a risk… He’s going to get better and better.
“That lad’s potential could take him to another level in a team like Chelsea.
“Is he in their best XI? He would not be far off.”

Attacking options
All Chelsea fans have been discussing the need to sign a No.9 this window, but recent rumours could mean the club need another winger through the door before the summer window shuts on 1 September.
Everton speedster Gordon would have a sizeable job on his hands breaking into the Chelsea side when you look at the current squad. There’s some first-team players linked with exits, though.
Christian Pulisic is reportedly wanted on loan by a host of clubs, including Manchester United. Elsewhere, Callum Hudson-Odoi may reportedly be allowed to exit on loan.
If the aforementioned duo both leave the Bridge, Tuchel could quite desperately need some more attacking options. They’ve already lost Timo Werner this summer, too.
