Chelsea supporters were eager to praise the involvement of Andreas Christensen for Chelsea versus Tottenham Hotspur yesterday.
The Dane started on Chelsea’s bench but was brought on after 35 minutes following an injury sustained by Thiago Silva.
Many feared for the worst when the Blues experienced Brazilian limped off the pitch with a suspected muscle injury.

Christensen had only previously played five Premier League games, the last of which came in December.
However, the 24-year-old was an excellent understudy for Silva up against an admittedly weak Spurs attack.
And many Chelsea fans wanted to congratulate him for such a solid performance.
It has certainly not been an easy ride for the defender who has been with Chelsea since 2015.
He only recently ran up his 100th senior appearance for the Blues and has largely been surplus to requirements this season.

Kurt Zouma and Silva were Frank Lampard’s originally centre-back partnering. Thomas Tuchel has since installed a back three consisting of the latter, Antonio Rudiger and Cesar Azpilicueta.
This has left little to no room for Christensen, up until last night’s match of course. Although it arrived in unfortunate circumstances, the Danish international took his opportunity superbly.
Tuchel may be without Silva for a period of time but Chelsea now have a decent option to fall-back on.
The Chelsea Chronicle View
Replacing a man of Silva’s statue and calibre was never going to be easy, but Christensen made it look like a breeze.
Granted, he will have certainly faced tougher tasks than Spurs’ limp attempt at going forward, however he dealt with everything that was asked of him, and for that he has my seal of approval.
