Jason Cundy has criticised two Chelsea players for “below-par” performances in Sunday’s defeat against Aston Villa and admitted he is concerned about next week’s Champions League final.
To be fair, any Chelsea fan would be as worried as Cundy about the Champions League final after seeing how the team performed at Villa Park.
It was considered a must-win game and could have ruined their hard work in the past few months.
Fortunately, Tottenham Hotspur’s incredible win over Leicester City helped Chelsea squeeze into the top four.
After talks of having top-four fate in their own hands, Thomas Tuchel’s men eventually had to rely on Leicester’s slip-up.
Cundy, who was initially hesitant to name names, could not hide his frustration about the performances of two attackers, in particular.

“That was so below par,” the former Blues defender told the club’s Matchday Live programme.
“So disappointing some of their performances today, some players.
“Pulisic, I thought, was way off it. Werner, way off it.

“We’re going to have to bring our A game against Manchester City, we know that.
“They’re the favourites. It’s going to be so tough. We’re going to go into that game as underwhelming underdogs.
“If we play like that, we will get turned over, honestly, we really will.
“But we’re capable [of beating Manchester City], and we’ve done it twice this season.
“I just don’t want to talk about today’s game, honestly.”
