Declan Rice has sent a message to the injured Mason Mount after England’s 2-1 win over Italy in the European Championship qualifiers last night.
The West Ham United man took to Instagram to respond to praise from his best friend at Chelsea following the remarkable win in Naples.
Rice opened the scoring in the first half before Harry Kane broke the international record for goals in an England shirt.

The game did see Reece James and Conor Gallagher appear from the bench, in a time where their country were under the cosh following a second half red card for Luke Shaw.
While Ben Chilwell presented a natural left-back option on the bench, Gareth Southgate elected to bring on Kieran Trippier to fill the role.
Nevertheless, it was a fine victory that Mount was unfortunately not able to contribute to. His injury saw him forced to pull out the England squad despite being called up.

The Chelsea man quickly took to Instagram after the game to praise Rice for his performance, with the 24-year-old replying: “Missing ya.”
Injuries have become quite the annoyance for Mount for both club and country now. He has been missing for the last four games for the Blues, which have conveniently coincided with a return to form for Graham Potter’s side.

This will not have helped his case when attempting to get his way in currently ongoing contract negotiations.
The 24-year-old is reportedly at a standstill with Todd Boehly over committing his future to Stamford Bridge, despite being offered a contract similar to the one accepted by James earlier this season.
With the owner’s desire to not let players enter the last year of their contracts at the club. This means if he doesn’t resign, he will likely be sold.
