Ben Chilwell is confident there’s much more to come from him in a Chelsea shirt.

Ben Chilwell, who’s now made 85 Blues appearances, has been one of the club’s better signings in the last few years.

The £50million (Sky Sports) left-back has delivered some fantastic performances for Chelsea since joining in 2020, but there’s no doubt his injury record is the one slight negative against his name.

Hopefully, the England international is due for an injury-free 2023/24 season. The player himself suggests he’s going to be loads better in the next campaign.

Chelsea’s popular defender has shared his optimism going into the new campaign.

Chilwell told Chelsea’s 5th Stand App: “I feel good, ready for the season and definitely there’s more to come from me!”

First of all, the players will need to get through five friendly fixtures during their pre-season tour of the United States.

Blues head coach Mauricio Pochettino will travel with his squad to the U.S. on Monday before their first match against Wrexham a couple of days later.

Journalist Simon Phillips reported on his Substack earlier this week that Pochettino has already taken a liking to Chilwell in the opening two weeks of pre-season at Cobham.

There’s so many options for the left-back spot right now if you look at the available players in pre-season. Chilwell is fighting off competition from Marc Cucurella, plus youngsters Ian Maatsen and Lewis Hall.

We have full faith in Chilwell being the starting full-back for the Premier League opener against Liverpool, though.
