Kepa Arrizabalaga has posted on Twitter ahead of Chelsea’s game against Zenit in the Champions League – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter have responded to claim he’s hinted that he’ll be playing.

Thomas Tuchel’s side host Russian leaders Zenit tonight in the opening group stage match of the Champions League, which is a competition the Blues are bidding to retain after last year’s triumph.

Kepa, 26, is the second-choice goalkeeper at Stamford Bridge behind brilliant number one Edouard Mendy.

The Spaniard has lost his starting position to Mendy and seen his reputation take a bit of a battering in the past couple of years. However, he’s performed well when given the opportunity by manager Tuchel.

Kepa has uploaded a post on Twitter with a message that includes a winking emoji:

“See you tomorrow, Champions League,” he wrote.

Should Kepa start Tuesday night for Chelsea?

For Kepa, he deserves immense credit for the way he’s remained professional during a really tough time on the pitch. It would have been easy for him to just fold and go into his shell.

It looks like the shot-stopper is having a positive influence within the dressing room and his penalty shootout heroics to win the UEFA Super Cup in August proved that.

The 26-year-old has performed well for Tuchel, so there shouldn’t be too much of a concern if he gets his chance in the XI later today.

But, Mendy is in sensational form right now. Therefore, you could argue you want your best goalkeeper in-between the sticks until qualification into the Champions League knockouts is secure.

Here are some Chelsea fans reacting to Kepa’s cryptic post:
