Didier Drogba did not hold back during his heartful response towards Chelsea and their decision to pull out of the European Super League.
Plans for a new and exclusive tournament came crashing to the ground yesterday as it was confirmed the Premier League ‘Bix Six’ had withdrawn from the project.
Chelsea and Manchester City were the first to resign.
In turn, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and Arsenal all removed their names from the list.

Scenes of protest outside Stamford Bridge before the Blues game against Brighton & Hove Albion on Tuesday were the tip of what was a very angry iceberg.
Thankfully, through fans objections and widespread disgust across the footballing community, the competition didn’t come to fruition.
Drogba, who knows Chelsea better than most, reacted to the news on Twitter that a Super League wouldn’t be formed.
His references were about Greece defeating Portugal at the 2004 European Championship finals, or when Red Star Belgrade lifted the European Cup in 1991.
But most infamously of all, Drogba was highlighting Leicester City’s incredible Premier League conquest of 2015/16.
It was not too long ago that Chelsea themselves were something of an underdog, until Roman Abramovich took over the club.

Success and silverware tumbled in after 2003, but it should never be forgotten they went 50 years without winning a league title.
The mere notion that a David versus Goliath scenario would be ripped away from sport had the Super League gone ahead is unthinkable.
Hopefully, Abramovich and the others owners now realise this kind of selfish venture will never sit right with those involved in the beautiful game.
