Abraham scored an 87th minute winner at the Emirates Stadium to earn three points and kept up his form during a remarkable debut season in the club’s first-team.

The 22-year-old Englishman is one of the academy stars to come through the youth ranks and he’s now making an impression in the senior group under manager Frank Lampard.

He’s now scored 14 goals in 27 games across all competitions this campaign and has seized the responsibility of being the first-choice striker.

Drogba, who is regarded by many as the club’s best ever centre-forward, expressed his delight for Abraham after the weekend.

The Ivorian terrorised Arsenal’s defence during his playing career and Chelsea will hope they have discovered a new danger man.

“I get goosebumps replaying this goal and the celebration after Tammy Abraham’s [Chelsea goal]. What a win at the Emirates come on you Blues,” Drogba wrote on his personal Twitter account.

Abraham’s celebration on Sunday mirrored that of club legend Drogba and he’s certainly the perfect example to look up to.

Drogba and Diego Costa are examples of brute centre-forwards that have spearhead the Chelsea attack so well in recent memory, but whether Abraham can follow in their footsteps remains to be seen.

He’s certainly made an ideal start after half a season in the Blues first-team and no doubt the entire fanbase is behind him to succeed.

A goal against Arsenal proved he can turn up against the big teams and to reach a 20-goal mark during a first season would be some achievement.
