TalkSPORT pundit Darren Bent has claimed on Twitter that he would prefer to play Leicester City’s James Maddison instead of Mason Mount right now.
The Foxes man enjoyed another stellar display last night, scoring twice as they got their first victory of the season against Nottingham Forest.
It was only another example of a strong personal performance from the Englishman, who now has five goals and two assists in his opening seven games of this season.

Despite his impressive beginning to the campaign, he still looks a way away from a place in the England squad, with him not selected for a place in the squad for the recent Nations League fixtures.
The matches proved the last opportunity for Gareth Southgate to look at his options before he selects a side to compete at this winter’s World Cup.
Bent backs Maddison over Mount
Bent has claimed though that he would have Maddison in his side, even if it came at the expensive of Mount.
The 23-year-old is hardly enjoying his finest season in terms of numbers, however he has begun to show just how important he can be with two good performances under new manager Graham Potter.

It’s not the first time a pundit has questioned the ability of Mount, however the fact that he has remained important to every manager who has taken charge of him at Chelsea, whilst still being reliable for Southgate with England.
After a couple of games without a start in the last break, he showed exactly what he can do with an inspiring performance of the bench against Germany, scoring in what turned out to be a 3-3 draw.
Whether Maddison makes the squad or not, there is no chance it should be for the versatile Mount, who can star in a number of positions when the World Cup starts next month.
