Eden Hazard voted for Chelsea duo in The Best FIFA Awards

Former Chelsea ace Eden Hazard and several other high-profile players named Jorginho among their top three for FIFA Men’s best player award.

Jorginho, unfortunately, did not make the final three for the award, but he, alongside Chelsea teammate, N’Golo Kante, was still among the 2021 FIFPro XI.

Unlike the FIFPro XI, whose results were based on votes from professional players around the world, only national team captains and coaches, a selection of journalists, as well as fans got to vote for The Best FIFA awards.

Hazard, who is Belgium’s captain, was among those who voted.

The Real Madrid player named Edouard Mendy as his first-choice for men’s best goalkeeper and Jorginho as his third pick for men’s best player in 2021, behind Karim Benzema and Kevin De Bruyne.

The Netherlands captain Virgil van Dijk, on the other hand, voted for Kante as his third choice.

Portugal and Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo put Kante in second place and Jorginho in third place.

Interestingly, the eventual winner, Robert Lewandowski, voted for Jorginho as his first pick, ahead of Lionel Messi and Ronaldo.
