Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic has impressed greatly in USA’s 3-0 win over Mexico last night.

Ratings produced by MLSSoccer handed him an 8.5/10, as his brace helped his country to a crucial win in the Nations League.

International duty has often handed Pulisic his best opportunity in recent years, with him heavily relied on as his nation’s captain.

When he is representing Chelsea however, opportunities are far more difficult to come by. At this point, he may be the furthest away from the starting XI than he has ever been.

The Blues added Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke to their ranks in January, and there is plenty of hope that they will be regulars at Stamford Bridge for a number of years now.

This has near enough left the 24-year-old surplus to requirements in West London, and reports have claimed that the club are looking to move him on this summer.

This hasn’t stopped him starring for the United States national team though, with his performance being described as ‘electric’.

They said: “The USMNT captain was electric throughout the match, and was rewarded with a crucial brace that powered this result. When Pulisic is cooking like this, it takes this team’s ceiling to a whole new level.”

If Pulisic is to move on this summer, his Chelsea career will be remembered as always threatening to break out into greatness, however not quite getting there for a number of reasons.

Injuries have been difficult for the winger to have to deal with, and they have certainly affected his momentum when looking to tie down a starting role.

Supporters will no doubt be thankful for his performances when Premier League football was played behind closed doors, which saw him carry the Blues to a top four finish.
