The whole football world knows Emanuel Emegha’s Strasbourg side now, largely thanks to Chelsea’s owners.
BlueCo, the parent company of Chelsea, also own Strasbourg and have put them on the map.
They are performing very well in Ligue 1 right now, finding themselves in fourth place in the table. The French club have many good players, such as Emegha, who is joining Chelsea next year.
All in all, Strasbourg have come a long way since Emegha’s arrival back in 2023.

Chelsea signing Emanuel Emegha didn’t even know where Strasbourg were before he joined
Emegha has admitted that he had no idea that Strasbourg were even in France before his move to the club.
In an interview with Algemeen Dagblad, he said: “To be honest, I didn’t even know where that was. I thought it was in Germany, but it turned out to be in France. Well, I think everyone knows Strasbourg now.”
The striker will definitely know where Chelsea is, though, recently discussing his transfer to the Club World Cup winners.
Emegha added: “Strasbourg really had a plan for young players like me. Well, that’s worked out. I was the first player they started this process with, and next season I’m going to Chelsea. So, it went exactly as I’d hoped.”
Liam Rosenior will be sad to see Emegha go, with the Dutchman having another good season in front of goal. In eight appearances, he has netted six times.
Rosenior has had to defend Emegha during this campaign after his decision to announce his move to Chelsea went down badly with Strasbourg supporters.

Emanuel Emegha already shining for the Netherlands
Emegha’s form at Strasbourg this season was rewarded with a first call-up to the Netherlands senior team.
He played nearly half an hour in the Netherlands’ 4-0 win against Lithuania on Monday and came very close to scoring.

Overall, Emegha had a good game. It was a very promising cameo for both his country and future club Chelsea.
The Blues already have Joao Pedro, Liam Delap and Marc Guiu. However, it looks like Chelsea will invest in Emegha and give him opportunities next season.
Rather than go out on loan, the plan is for Emegha to remain at Chelsea and be part of Enzo Maresca’s first-team squad. Based on what Emegha has shown in Ligue 1 during this campaign and the previous one, he should be ready for the challenge.
