There are plenty of signings Chelsea fans would ideally make for their side in the upcoming summer transfer window after watching their drop in form in 2025.
There is now a big chance they will miss out on playing Champions League football next season, with them outside the top five of the Premier League with just

Their goal threat has fallen off a cliff in 2025. Nicolas Jackson is yet to score this year around his injury woes, while Cole Palmer is months without a goal after his electric start to the campaign.
It has been widely reported that there is interest in signing at least one new striker at the end of the season, with it becoming clear when the Senegal star was injured that there is not another player in the squad who can fulfil the role.
A number of names have been mentioned as potential targets for the Blues, however one name who continues to crop up near the top of the list is Liam Delap.

Enzo Maresca demanding Chelsea sign Liam Delap
The Ipswich Town striker has enjoyed a very strong first season in the top flight, despite his side looking primed to be relegated from the Premier League this season.

Chelsea fans were convinced by Delap during his cameo at Stamford Bridge last time out, with him producing a piece of skill that destroyed Trevoh Chalobah.

Enzo Maresca is convinced by the English striker, with GiveMeSport reporting that the manager is pushing for them to sign him this summer.
It has been widely reported that Delap has a relegation release clause that can be activated this summer, with many clubs interested in a deal.

What has Maresca said about Delap?
Maresca has remained coy about his admiration for the former Manchester City youngster, although was still complimentary of him ahead of their meeting with Ipswich last weekend.
He said to TNT Sports: “In terms of numbers, he’s doing fantastic. It’s not just in terms of his numbers. The way he plays and fights and is always ‘there’. But he’s an Ipswich player.
“He’s an enemy on Sunday because we need to beat them, and then after the game I wish him all the best for the future.”
Maresca is seen as safe in his role as Chelsea manager, however he will be looking for backing in the transfer market, and that will likely start with someone who can find the net on a regular basis.
