A big strength of Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca so far at Stamford Bridge has been the consistency in his starting line-up.
While Enzo Maresca has heavily rotated across various cup competitions, he’s stuck with a pretty similar XI in the Premier League. It makes a drastic change from what happened at Stamford Bridge last season when Mauricio Pochettino sat in the manager’s dugout.
Cole Palmer, Levi Colwill, Moises Caicedo, Nicolas Jackson and Robert Sanchez are the five Chelsea players who’ve started all 10 league matches this season.
Paul Scholes has been impressed with Maresca’s impact at Chelsea, particularly with how he’s made ruthless decisions and built his squad.

Enzo Maresca considers Levi Colwill undroppable from Chelsea team
According to GiveMeSport, Chelsea head coach Maresca currently views Levi Colwill as ‘undroppable’ from the team’s best starting XI.
It is explained that the Italian manager has been impressed by the 21-year-old defender’s form in the opening months of the season. He’s noticed the England international’s leadership traits, too.
Colwill recently claimed he’s playing his best football under Maresca, so it definitely feels like a match made in heaven.
The left-footer is a ball-playing centre-half who builds out from the back superbly. Similarly, his centre-back partner Wesley Fofana is great in possession and compliments him well on the pitch.
Fofana previously admitted he enjoys playing alongside Colwill in the heart of Chelsea’s defence, where their partnership is only growing stronger as time passes.
Levi Colwill is the Chelsea pass master
Whether it’s long or short, Colwill’s passing is usually crisp and accurate. It’s one of the biggest reasons why he suits Maresca’s new-look Chelsea side.
Fotmob has some interesting statistics regarding Chelsea’s best passers. Colwill sits top of the pile for the most passes completed per 90 minutes by any Blues player in the Premier League this season.
| Player | Accurate passes per 90 | Pass success |
| Levi Colwill | 62.3 | 90.1% |
| Renato Veiga | 56.7 | 84.6% |
| Wesley Fofana | 53.5 | 89.0% |
| Moises Caicedo | 47.1 | 87.7% |
| Romeo Lavia | 46.2 | 92.1% |
Jamie Redknapp claimed last season Colwill’s passing is “exceptional” for a defender, something which he’s continued into this campaign.
