Micah Richards thinks Raheem Sterling looked so much better in his recent performance for Chelsea.
Chelsea may have suffered a 3-1 defeat to West Ham last Sunday in the Premier League, but there were still a few positives to move forward with.
For certain, Raheem Sterling’s individual display against West Ham was a reminder of why the Blues spent £50million (Daily Mail) on him last summer.
The 28-year-old attacker was a constant threat to the opposition with his rapid dribbles and directness. Hopefully, there’s even more to come from him.

Richards really liked what he saw from Chelsea’s No 7 in his most recent outing. He’s definitely spotted a recent improvement in him to start the season.
Speaking on The Rest Is Football YouTube channel, Richards said: “A star for me was Sterling. Sterling was excellent. This was Sterling from two years ago. A lot of people said he can’t play on the right; a lot of his good work came down that right, jinking and jiving. Good end product at times. If only someone was there to put it away.”

BBC pundit Garth Crooks claimed that Sterling was Chelsea’s “shining light” with his contribution against West Ham, as quoted by BBC Sport.
The England international didn’t get the goal or assist his contribution deserves a few days ago, but he should take massive confidence into this Friday’s league clash at home to Luton Town.

We doubt Luton’s backline are excited about the challenge of facing a fit and sharp version of Sterling.
The winger hit double digits for Premier League goals in his previous five seasons before joining Chelsea, which is exactly what the team needs from him now.
Hopefully, the Manchester City star is about to explode to life in his second season with the Blues and step into a senior role.
