While Chelsea had a good night in the Carabao Cup yesterday after eliminating Blackburn Rovers from the competition, things did not go quite to plan for a couple of their rivals.
That includes Arsenal, who were knocked out of the tournament by West Ham United following their 3-1 loss at the London Stadium.
Since then, Kai Havertz has come in for a lot of criticism, including from Darren Bent, who questioned why the Gunners decided to spend £65m on the 24-year-old on the social media platform X.

“I need someone to explain why 65 million was spent on Kai Havertz,” the former Tottenham Hotspur striker posted.
Arsenal signed Havertz from Chelsea for £65m in June, as reported by BBC Sport, but the forward has really struggled since the transfer.
In 10 Premier League appearances, he has scored just one goal, with that coming from the penalty spot.
Why did Arsenal pay Chelsea £65m for Kai Havertz?
Honestly, only Mikel Arteta will know. He did not look like a player who the Gunners really needed.
The German is quite a versatile forward who is able to lead the line and play behind the striker, while Arteta has used him in midfield at times this season. Perhaps that is why.
Whatever the reason, Chelsea will probably not be too bothered. They managed to get most of their money back for him and have since brought in Cole Palmer, who is thriving at Stamford Bridge.

The 21-year-old put in another impressive performance against Blackburn last night, with former Chelsea player Jason Cundy comparing him to Bernardo Silva.
It is early days for Havertz, however, so he has time to turn things around. And having scored the goal that delivered Chelsea their second Champions League trophy, we do not think every Chelsea supporter will be rejoicing about his struggles right now. It is a bit sad to see after what he managed to accomplish during his time at Stamford Bridge.
