Journalist Sacha Tavolieri has claimed that midfielder Romeo Lavia has already been talking to a number of Chelsea players about joining them.
He took to Twitter to state that these discussions helped him make the decision that he wanted the move to Stamford Bridge.
It looks as if at last that the saga surrounding Lavia as coming to an end, after a summer of uncertainty as to where he was going to be playing his football for the upcoming season.

After relegation with Southampton, it was certain a Premier League side were going to move for the player described last year by Ralph Hasenhuttl as ‘extremely talented’.
It looked for a long while that it was going to be Liverpool that secured a move to sign the Belgian. They were in the final few million as far as negotiations went.
Lavia talking to Chelsea players
However, a messy scenario played out revolving the Reds and Chelsea, with efforts to sign Lavia and Moises Caicedo overlapping and threatening to boil over.
The Blues ended up with the former Brighton man, despite Liverpool agreeing a fee first. He simply wanted to join Chelsea.
It now seems as if Lavia is set to make the same decision, with Tavolieri claiming that he has been in contact with a number of Chelsea players.

He said: “Lavia was already in talks with some Chelsea players this week-end by motivating him to sign as Lesley Ugochukwu.
“As told yesterday night, Romeo Lavia was already in London since the beginning of the week-end & had a private party to celebrate his signature with friends.”
The addition would threaten to complete a seriously talented and young midfield who could feature together for a long time to come.
