Chelsea travel to Switzerland this week for the second leg against Servette in a play-off tie, and there’s a chance one of the club’s academy players may be involved in the squad.
Chelsea are halfway through the two-legged play-off tie versus Servette in the Conference League, with the winners progressing to the tournament’s group stages.
The Blues secured a 2-0 win at home to the Swiss club last week, with goals from Christopher Nkunku and Noni Madueke giving them a healthy aggregate lead. Now, Enzo Maresca’s side will try to wrap up the job during Thursday night’s second leg.
Tosin Adarabioyo and Filip Jorgensen impressed against Servette during the first leg, so the Conference League is certainly a competition where other names in the squad can impress.

Josh Acheampong set to travel for Servette match
According to journalist Bobby Vincent on X, Chelsea youngster Josh Acheampong trained with the first-team squad on Tuesday at Cobham.
He’s explained that the 18-year-old defender is set to be part of the travelling Blues group for the European play-off tie with Servette.
Acheampong has started the season with back-to-back starts for Chelsea’s Under-21s side, but he’ll hope to knock on the first-team door after spending the summer with the senior group. He was part of Maresca’s squad for the pre-season tour of the United States.
It now sounds like the right-back will be back around the main squad once again this week.
Josh Acheampong has a future at Chelsea
The Independent claimed last month that Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain like Chelsea’s Acheampong. It’s quite something that two European giants are looking at a prospect who’s only played one competitive first-team match in his career so far.
However, journalist Miguel Delaney has claimed via X that Chelsea feel Acheampong is not for sale at any price.
Speaking via Nizaar Kinsella’s X account last month, Maresca said Acheampong did “fantastic” in pre-season. Therefore, it would be great to see him rewarded with his first senior minutes of the season this week against Servette.
