Chelsea talent Fikayo Tomori completed his move away from Stamford Bridge on Friday.

The 23-year-old defender will spend the rest of the season on loan with Italian club AC Milan at the San Siro, with Sky Sports claiming the Serie A giants have an option to buy him for £26.6million.

Tomori is one of numerous highly-rated talents to come out of the Blues academy in the past few years.

The centre-back made 22 senior appearances last season after a first-team breakthrough at Chelsea, but he’s played just four games so far this campaign.

He’s now made the switch to Italy to try play more regular first-team minutes and he’s joined a side that are currently top of Serie A chasing the title.

Tomori posted a message on Instagram after joining Milan, which also prompted responses from John Terry and Ian Wright:

Loaning out Tomori for the second half of the season looks the right decision from Chelsea, as they are stacked with senior options at centre-half.

But plenty of supporters are furious there is an option to buy clause in his deal.

Tomori is a massive talent that has already earned one senior international cap for England and he’s got all the attributes to be a top defender.

He’s a centre-back blessed with lightning pace, as well as being physically strong and tactically aware.
