Chelsea’s 2026/27 Premier League fixtures have been announced, and there are some interesting dates and matches to keep a close eye on.

The release of Chelsea’s 2026/27 Premier League fixtures will allow Xabi Alonso to plan ahead, as he looks to take over at Cobham from July 1st.

A Monday night derby opener

The Blues are set to start their campaign in West London, kicking off on Monday, August 24, with a televised trip to face Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Demanding early away tests

Alonso faces a brutal introduction in his away fixtures very early in his tenure. Within the first month of the campaign, Chelsea must navigate consecutive road trips, travelling to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal on September 5, followed closely by a tough visit to the Gtech Community Stadium to play Brentford on September 19.

The December double-header

The month of December looms as a potentially season-defining stretch that will thoroughly test Chelsea’s top-four or even title credentials. Xabi Alonso’s side are scheduled to host Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, December 5, before travelling north just one week later to confront Enzo Maresca and Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on December 12 in back-to-back games.

A Boxing Day reunion with Frank Lampard

The festive schedule serves up an interesting Christmas fixture for the travelling support. On Boxing Day, Chelsea will travel to the Midlands to face newly promoted Coventry City, setting up a reunion with former Blues manager and club legend Frank Lampard.

A blockbuster run-in

Finally, the calendar reveals a tasty spring run-in at a time when Chelsea may still be hunting down their targets. May opens with a daunting trip to Anfield to play Liverpool on May 1, which is followed immediately by a London derby against Tottenham Hotspur at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on May 8.
