Journalist Ben Jacobs has claimed that some people at Chelsea believe that Lewis Hall could now leave the club this summer.
He told NUFC Matters that Newcastle have the youngster on their radar as they look to strengthen the left of their defence.
Hall has found minutes hard to come by during the club’s pre-season tour of the United States.

He has fallen victim of the strength in depth in the role. Ben Chilwell and Marc Cucurella both have points to prove this season as first team options.
They have been joined in the squad by Ian Maatsen, who many will have expected to be on the move this summer.
However, his impressive performances in America have seen Mauricio Pochettino decide to keep him in the squad for next season.
Chelsea may let Hall leave
This could be bad news for Hall, who impressed greatly in his breakthrough season. Pat Nevin even described him as ‘special’.
Now, Jacobs has claimed that there is a feeling that he could be available this summer.
He said: “Hall is on Newcastle’s radar, for sure. I’m not aware that they’ve made a bid at this point, but I think the feeling in the Chelsea camp – Hall is here in Chicago at the moment – is that he’ll be available.

“Him and Trevoh Chalobah are both on the market. Newcastle might look at Hall, but he’s obviously younger, still one for the future. I sense with Livramento, Newcastle sense that he might really play now.”
It would be a massive error in judgement to let Hall leave on a permanent deal.
Instead, a loan to a Premier League side where regular minutes are available is something that would be perfect for the youngster going forwards.
