In the 2023 summer transfer window, Chelsea sold a lot of their first-team players.
The likes of Kai Havertz, Christian Pulisic, Mason Mount, Kalidou Koulibaly and Edouard Mendy all left Chelsea, and some of those moves have worked out.
Pulisic is arguably the standout example, with the winger really thriving at AC Milan right now. This season, he has come up with nine goal contributions in 13 league appearances.
Former USA international Herculez Gomez believes Pulisic has developed into a leader during his time in Italy. However, not all of those players have flourished after leaving Chelsea.

Al-Hilal want to get rid of Kalidou Koulibaly
Koulibaly was not at Chelsea for long, spending just one season at Stamford Bridge before departing for Al-Hilal.
It now looks like the central defender’s stay at Al-Hilal could also be short, with it being reported that he has failed to impress those at the club.
According to Marca, Al-Hilal have decided to either terminate Koulibaly’s contract or send him out on loan after being disappointed with his performances.
He has helped the Saudi Arabian club to win trophies, but it does not appear that the Senegal international is in their long-term plans.
Koulibaly had claimed that he was happy in Saudi Arabia following his move there from west London.
Kalidou Koulibaly on Nicolas Jackson
While things may not be going to plan for Koulibaly, they are for his Senegal teammate Nicolas Jackson.
Unlike the former Napoli man, Jackson is actually having a successful time at Chelsea. He scored 17 goals last season and is already on eight this term.
Koulibaly now thinks Jackson can win the Ballon d’Or one day. “He has to think about the Ballon d’Or, and if you put this image in his head, he can achieve it,” Koulibaly said when discussing Jackson recently.
Jackson is certainly doing well in the Premier League at the moment, but there is probably a long way to go before he can start thinking about winning the most prestigious individual prize in football.
