Former Chelsea youngster Jamal Musiala has become the second youngest goalscorer record with Bayern Munich in German third division.
The 17-year-old who left Chelsea academy for Bayern Munich in July last year has just scored his first professional goals when playing for their reserves team.
Musiala scored both goals in Bayern Munich II 2-0 victory over FSV Zwickau in 3.Liga last on Tuesday.
It has put him on the history book as the second-youngest player to score in the history of German third division at 17 years and 98 days, just slightly behind his senior team counterpart David Alaba (7 years and 53 days).
And the Stuttgart-born attacking midfielder looks set for a rapid rise.
He signed for Chelsea in 2011 after an impressive tournament at Southampton while in the country during his mother’s study in the UK.
Holding dual nationality, the highly-rated midfielder has represented both England and Germany at Under-16 level, and still has the option to play for either side later on.
Having decided to commit to a five-year contract with Bayern last summer, he started in the U17s before getting transferred to the U19s prior to competition suspension due to the global pandemic.
And in just his third game for the U19s, he has now repaid the trust given by Bayern reserves manager Sebastian Hoeness.

He still has ways to go before breaking into first-team stardom, but Chelsea may have lost a gem who has the potential to become ‘the next Jadon Sancho’.
The Borussia Dortmund winger, as we all know, also left an English club, in this case, Manchester City, and went on to become one of the hottest talents in Europe at the moment.
Although it’s understandable for Musiala to return to his home country if we consider how difficult it was to break into the Blues first-team prior to Frank Lampard’s youth push this season.
