Chelsea were dealt a huge blow in their 2-0 win against Fulham at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Early into the match, summer signing Liam Delap had to be withdrawn after pulling up with a hamstring injury.
Chelsea were already without Cole Palmer for the game, with the attacking midfielder suffering from a small groin problem, while Nicolas Jackson was also unavailable.
Jackson was absent ahead of an impending loan move to Bayern Munich, but Chelsea now look to have cancelled that following Delap’s injury.

Curtis Davies urges Chelsea to keep hold of Tyrique George after Liam Delap injury
With Jackson under contract, the striker will have to return to Cobham, unless Chelsea have a change of heart and give him permission to join Bayern again.
However, before news broke that Chelsea would be cancelling Jackson’s loan move, former Premier League defender Curtis Davies suggested that the solution to Delap’s injury was to keep hold of Tyrique George.
Commentating on Chelsea’s game against Fulham for BBC Radio 5 Live, Davies said (via BBC Sport): “We’ve just seen Tyrique George have to come on up front and he’s an exciting player but he might move on and this is the PSR issue.
“If they get a scan back and Liam Delap is out for a couple of months they couldn’t possibly let George go.”
George is another player whom the Club World Cup winners have been trying to offload, and the 19-year-old still looks likely to leave Stamford Bridge despite Delap’s hamstring problem.

AS Roma set for more Tyrique George talks
While George did come on to replace Delap in Saturday’s west London derby, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported after the game that AS Roma were set to hold more talks with Chelsea over signing George.
Before the match, negotiations were already underway, so George is clearly not indispensable and that does not seem to have changed just because of one injury.
Some Chelsea fans were quite disappointed with George’s performance against Fulham and have no issues with the winger leaving Stamford Bridge before Monday’s transfer deadline.
RB Leipzig also hold an interest in George, but a move to the Stadio Olimpico appears to be the most likely outcome as things stand.
