Frank Lampard will surely be considering a complete squad revamp when his side host Newcastle United in the final game of the season on Sunday.

Supporters are absolutely desperate for this campaign to come to an end after they have consistently been through dire performances both home and away.

Todd Boehly has not been shy to spend money in his first two transfer windows since buying the club, with plenty of players coming through the door at Stamford Bridge.

One of the additions which certainly will have gone under the radar was the first one in January, David Datro Fofana.

Fofana has to start

The striker was joined with an eye towards the future, however he wasn’t loaned out later that month as was once expected.

This has seen him make just one start for the club, with it coming for only 45 minutes in defeat to Southampton earlier this season.

In substitute appearances since then, he has shown glimmers that he could be an option for the Blues to score goals. However, it more comes down to the fact that no one else is finding the net that he should be given a chance.

The likes of Kai Havertz and Raheem Sterling have not been able to establish themselves as goalscorers this season, and that has really come at the expense of Chelsea.

Last night saw the German miss a glorious chance in the first hall from a Lewis Hall cross, and as the Blues toiled in front of goal, Manchester United pulled away to hand them yet another defeat.
