Chelsea manager Frank Lampard praised attacker Christian Pulisic after his performance on Monday against Aston Villa, as well as claiming that he’s shown positive signs regarding his fitness.
The 22-year-old started yesterday during the 1-1 draw against Villa, as the Blues had to settle for a point in the Premier League fixture.
Lampard’s side have picked up just one point from games against Arsenal and Villa, which were both played in the space of just three days during a hectic festive schedule.

Pulisic has had a stop-start time during his Chelsea career so far and injury problems have spilled over into this season for him.
But the American winger has shown great endurance in the last few days to play every minute of the two league matches, as well as starting the two previous matches prior to that as well.
“Christian was really bright all game, which is great for him to play two games in that space of time, fitness-wise. He was really bright,” Lampard told Amazon Prime’s televised coverage of Chelsea against Villa (7:45pm, 28 December).”
Pulisic is certainly one of the biggest match-winners in the Chelsea dressing room and the team need their big players to step up at a time where there has been a considerable dip in form.
The speedster showed some moments of brilliance against Villa with some eye-catching dribbles and also some great link-up on the edge of the box, but he’s still trying to get up to top gear.
