Gary Neville honestly admitted that he felt Manchester United are currently behind Chelsea in the race for the Premier League crown.
Speaking on the Webby & O’Neill YouTube channel, Neville gave a frank assessment about his beloved club’s title chances.
Although there is plenty of positivity swirling around Old Trafford right now, it’s difficult to ignore what’s being conjured up at Chelsea.
Thomas Tuchel has transformed a squad of wonderful individuals into an organised, efficient and dangerous unit, that is stacked with quality from back to front.

The rewards of Romelu Lukaku’s return have already been reaped, whilst the late addition of Saul Niguez appears to be a nifty piece of business.
Blues in cruise control
Chelsea showed their stripes against Liverpool last weekend, having ripped apart Arsenal in the previous match.
They are certainly on an upwards spiral, one that Neville believed United would struggle to keep pace with.
“I personally don’t think we are ready for the title this year,” confessed the former Red Devils defender.

“That’s purely not because I don’t think United are capable of winning the title.
“I just think there are a couple of other teams around us at the moment that are really good.
“I think Chelsea are at an unbelievable moment, I think City are. This is such a strong Premier League.
“This is why I say I don’t think Manchester United will win the title this year because this is one of the strongest Premier League I’ve ever seen.
“This Manchester City team is exceptional.
“This Chelsea team, you saw them on Sunday at Anfield when they went down to ten men and still looked like they could win the game with ten minutes to go. They were comfortable.”

Best of the rest
Of course, United cannot be ruled out of reclaiming their first league trophy since 2013.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side is taking shape, thanks to the seismic return of Cristiano Ronaldo, plus the strong signings of Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane.
Not to mention the likes of Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes, Harry Maguire, Mason Greenwood, Luke Shaw; the list goes on.
And then there’s Manchester City, who need no introduction.
Top-flight fanatics could be witnessing one of the greatest contests of the modern area, with Chelsea hoping to be all-conquering.
