Glenn Hoddle hasn’t been impressed by Mykhailo Mudryk since he arrived at Chelsea earlier this year.
Mykhailo Mudryk, who joined from Shakhtar Donetsk back in the January transfer window, has had a very quiet start to life in the Premier League.
The 22-year-old attacker could end up costing the Blues as much as £89million (BBC), which right now threatens to be an awful piece of business.
Thankfully, the Ukraine international is still very young with big potential. It’s now up to him to try thrive within Mauricio Pochettino’s system.

Speaking on the Kelly and Wrighty Show, Hoddle did admit that he’s seen nothing positive from Mudryk so far in Chelsea colours. He’s hopeful he can burst to life soon, though!
“Mudryk hasn’t showed anything for Chelsea like he did [before] they bought him. There’s a player in there waiting to come out,” he said.
In fairness, Chelsea supporters will struggle to defend Mudryk when he’s scored zero goals and made two assists in 19 appearances across all competitions.
His latest contribution was a difficult 45 minutes after coming on as a half-time substitute in Sunday’s Premier League defeat against West Ham.

Mudryk looked very sharp and threatening during Chelsea’s pre-season summer tour a few weeks ago, so it’s now about mirroring that in competitive matches.
Pochettino claimed last month that Mudryk is a forward talent with “massive potential”, as quoted by the club’s official website.
However, the Blues fanbase are desperate to see something more from the winger now.
With the team still looking like one very short of goals across the pitch, players like Mudryk need to step up as regular scorers for there to be any success this season.
