Tony Cascarino thinks Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel would love his side to sign Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski this summer.
Lewandowski, who’s out of contract in 2023, has made it publicly clear he wants to leave Munich.
The 33-year-old centre-forward has confirmed his “story is over” with Bayern, so he’s looking for a transfer away from the German champions during this summer’s transfer window.
His legacy with the Bavarians is cemented even if he leaves now, though, scoring 344 goals in 374 appearances for them.
However, the Poland international wants a fresh challenge.

Tuchel would love Lewandowski
TalkSPORT pundit Cascarino claims Tuchel would jump at the chance to bring Lewandowski to Stamford Bridge.
It’s previously been reported Chelsea have a long-term interest in the goal machine but he’d prefer a transfer to Spain ahead of next season.
Cascarino does think Tuchel would want Lewandowski if the new Blues owners made it possible to get him, though.
“If he [Tuchel] is given the option of getting Lewandowski, you are going to go for it,” Cascarino told talkSPORT.
“Okay you’d have him to give him a contract that was at the very highest end… Chelsea missed goals in the centre-forward position all season. It’s cost them so dearly.”

Superstar name
If Chelsea signed Lewandowski, it might go down as one of the biggest signings in the club’s history.
He scored 50 goals in 46 games this campaign and has truly been one of the world’s very best forwards for nearly a decade.
It’s unclear on how much he would actually cost to sign this summer, but he’d be a statement and a half from the new owners if signed.
However, the one obvious obstacle to mention is current Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku. It seems impossible to think of both him and Lewandowski in the same squad.
