Hakim Ziyech’s former teammate at Heerenveen, Alfred Finnbogason, has had some advice for Chelsea’s strikers ahead of the winger’s summer transfer to Chelsea.

Finnbogason, who now plays for Bundesliga side Augsburg, spent two seasons in the Eredivisie from 2012 to 2014 where he played alongside Ziyech.

The Iceland international formed an impressive partnership with Ziyech, especially in 2013/14 where he ended the season as the league’s top scorer with 29 goals.

Ziyech also had a respectable record of nine goals and nine assists that season, setting up Finnbogason on four occasions.

Ahead of Ziyech’s Chelsea move, Finnbogason has sent a message to the Chelsea strikers on what to expect.

He told De Telegraaf: “I already knew that he was good, but what he has shown in recent years is not normal.

“That I had a good click with him? If you don’t click with Ziyech, you are not a good striker.

“You just have to move well. He gives the balls exactly the way you want them.”

Finnbogason also thinks the Premier League would pose some challenges for Ziyech, but he believes the Morocco international will eventually overcome them.

He said: “Without a doubt, the Premier League will be a big test for him. Players are better and more aggressive.

“But look at what he has already shown at Ajax with his qualities in the Champions League.

“He is something special and will be a big signing for Chelsea. The pressure will be great, but he can live up to it.”

From 21 appearances in the Eredivisie this season, Ziyech has laid on 12 assists and scored six goals himself.

Ziyech has also averaged 3.7 key passes per game, more than any player in the Dutch top division this term.
