Martin Keown has heavily praised Chelsea’s Mateo Kovacic and Kepa Arrizabalaga for their impact on the side right now.
Kovacic, 28, is a massive fan favourite that’s great to watch when he’s gliding around in the centre of the park.
The Croatian midfielder is a great technician that has started six of the opening seven games since Graham Potter took charge as the new head coach.
Similarly, Blues keeper Kepa has started every single match under Potter.
The 28-year-old goalkeeper is delivering some outstanding individual performances in net right now, keeping five consecutive clean sheets.
Even the Brentford manager, Thomas Frank, praised Kepa for the display against his side in midweek.

Keown praised Kovacic and Kepa
Pundit Keown picked out two in-form Chelsea players for their current roles at Stamford Bridge.
“Mateo Kovacic is a reliable busy bee in midfield and Kepa Arrizabalaga has been inspired, taking the fresh start he’s been afforded under his new manager,” Keown told the Daily Mail.

It’s obvious that the Potter era is still trying to take shape on the pitch, which is not helped by the fact that the crazy amount of fixtures in October does force the manager into rotating frequently.
However, it does look like Kepa is the number one in-between the sticks right now. It’s been great to see his confidence at an all-time high since the change in the dugout.
As for Chelsea’s midfield, Kovacic belongs in the best system when he’s on form.
The fact that N’Golo Kante is sidelined through injury for fourth months does restrict Potter a touch in his midfield, but the very consistent Kovacic is standing up right now with some industrious performances.
