Gabby Agbonlahor praised Chelsea’s Raheem Sterling for his individual performance against AC Milan last night.
The Blues earned three crucial points on Wednesday in the Champions League group stages by beating the Italian champions 3-0 at Stamford Bridge.
Wesley Fofana, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Reece James were all on the scoresheet in the impressive European result.
Graham Potter has kickstarted his reign as manager with two wins and a draw, so momentum is building ahead of Saturday’s Premier League fixture at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Raheem Sterling against AC Milan
TalkSPORT pundit Agbonlahor was impressed by the Champions League performance of Reece James against Milan, just like most who watched the contest.
However, he’s singled out Sterling for his individual contribution as well.
“I was impressed with Reece James, but I thought Sterling was outstanding. He was everywhere. Energy, pace, making things happen. That’s the Chelsea that Chelsea fans want to see,” Agbonlahor told talkSPORT.

Vital under Potter
The fact that Sterling has started all three of Potter’s opening Chelsea games is proof of how important he really is.
Despite the fact he didn’t score against Milan, the 27-year-old attacker showed moments of how impactful he can be with his pace, energy and directness.
He’s now up to four goals and two assists so far this season after setting up the James goal with his forward pass.
Jamie Carragher predicted in August that Sterling would thrive at Stamford Bridge, which is a prediction that’s bang on the money at this present moment.
It’s going to be interesting to see over time how his relationship develops with fellow attacker Aubameyang because you feel a large load of the team’s goalscoring will need to be done by the duo.
