Former Premier League striker Darren Bent has praised Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson for giving his everything on the pitch.
However, Bent has still highlighted the fact that Nicolas Jackson is struggling to score goals at the minute.
Speaking about the 22-year-old on talkSPORT, he said: “Nicolas Jackson tries hard, he works hard, his movement’s pretty good, he works his socks off, he doesn’t shirk at it as well, but just can’t put the ball in the back of the net.”

Jackson was unable to score in either of his first two games for Chelsea, which came against Liverpool and West Ham United, but managed to find the back of the net in his side’s 3-0 win versus Luton Town afterwards.
However, he is yet to add to his strike against Rob Edwards’ men.
Nicolas Jackson is working hard
While Jackson may not be scoring right now, he really is giving everything to the team.
“His work ethic is amazing,” Mauricio Pochettino was quoted as saying by Chelsea’s official website last month.
Jackson has also not been afraid to take on defenders, with his average of 2.2 dribbles per Premier League game the joint highest in Chelsea’s squad (WhoScored).

The above shows that the £32m Senegal international is not a terrible player. He just needs to improve his finishing.
You would have to question if Chelsea have time for that, though. Five games in and they are already playing catch up in the race for top four. Pochettino needs everyone, including Jackson, to be at their best now.
The Blues’ next match is a home game against Aston Villa, so hopefully the Stamford Bridge crowd can really encourage and spur Jackson on as he looks for his second goal in a Chelsea shirt.
