Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah will fight for his place at Stamford Bridge.
That is according to Fabrizio Romano.
Some reports have suggested that Trevoh Chalobah may not play for Chelsea again, but Romano has stated on his Substack that the centre-back will try to win over Mauricio Pochettino before the January transfer window.
On Chalobah, Romano wrote: “The feeling remains that Trevoh Chalobah could leave this January, but he’ll fight for his place until then. Nottingham Forest sent an official £25m bid for him but he turned the move down.”

Earlier this week, the Evening Standard claimed that the 24-year-old faced being exiled at Chelsea.
Can Trevoh Chalobah convince Mauricio Pochettino?
Honestly, when it comes to Chalobah’s situation, it does not feel like it is a matter of Pochettino not rating the former England U21 international.
Rather, you get the impression that it is more down to the fact that Chelsea are stacked in the centre-back position, with Pochettino having the likes of Thiago Silva and Levi Colwill to call upon.

The Blues also spent a lot of money in the summer, so Chalobah represents a chance to sell a homegrown product and make profit.
All in all, then, while Chalobah does not look like he is ready to give up on winning a place in the Blues’ team, everything is still pointing towards a Stamford Bridge exit in January.
At the end of the day, it may be what is best for him. While the Chelsea man may be desperate to make it at Stamford Bridge, he is just not getting any guarantees over playing time right now. At another club, it could be a different story, so a transfer may not be the worst thing.
