Chelsea defender Emerson Palmieri will reportedly be undergoing the first part of his medical today ahead of a move to West Ham.
According to well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano on Twitter, there’s now a full agreement in place for the 28-year-old player to join West Ham this summer.
It is understood the two London and Premier League rivals have agreed the transfer, which will result in the left-back signing a five-year contract with the Hammers.
Romano explains that it’s a long-term deal worth £13million plus £2million in add-ons.
Also, the Italy international is starting his medical tests on Monday ahead of his imminent switch to the London Stadium.
Emerson undergoing West Ham medical
Romano’s famous “here we go” statement is enough for any football fan to believe this deal is practically done.
He previously mentioned last week that the deal was very close to completion, but there was still some work to do with it. However, today’s medical sounds like confirmation everything is ready to be signed.

For certain, this is a deal that looks like it makes sense for everybody involved.
West Ham, who have had a very rocky start to the new season with three consecutive Premier League defeats, desperately need to sign a new full-back.
In contrast, Chelsea are stacked with some quality options in the full-back area on the left flank of the pitch.
Marc Cucurella and Ben Chilwell have blocked any route into the side for Emerson at Stamford Bridge at left wing-back, so there’s a big opportunity for him to be a success across London.
