Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher has hailed team-mate Raheem Sterling for his attitude and professionalism this season.
Raheem Sterling has been left out of England’s last two squads, but that has not stopped the winger from performing, and Conor Gallagher has been impressed with what he has seen from him on the pitch and at Cobham.
While Sterling is not part of the current Three Lions set-up, Gallagher is and has been speaking to the media while on international duty, with Football Daily sharing his take on his teammate.

If the former can maintain his form, it would be a shock if he was snubbed by Gareth Southgate again next month. The England international was excellent last time out, scoring a goal and winning a penalty in Chelsea’s 4-1 win against Burnley.
Conor Gallagher praises Raheem Sterling
Gallagher thinks Sterling has set the example at Cobham.
On the former Manchester City star, he said: “He’s a top player. Mentally, he’s top as well. His attitude and professionalism is amazing. The last game against Burnley he was our best player and that shows you, so hopefully he can keep performing like that.”
Will Raheem Sterling win an England recall?
Again, if he can remain at the level he has been playing at for Chelsea of late, then he probably will.
Sterling was at the heart of everything good in the Blues’ victory at Turf Moor. If the wide man keeps on putting in performances like that, then there is no way that Southgate will be able to overlook him again.

It is up to Sterling, then, to keep on winning matches for Chelsea.
Do that, and Mauricio Pochettino’s side should start to climb the table, while the attacker will give himself a great chance of being called up for England’s fixtures in November.
