Chelsea legend Frank Leboeuf has slammed Raheem Sterling for his finishing this season.
Raheem Sterling and his team-mates failed to score once again in their 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa yesterday, leaving Leboeuf far from impressed.
Speaking on ESPN, the former Chelsea defender said: “Sterling’s never been a top scorer. He’s been so clumsy in front of the goal. He has other qualities.”

The winger is still the Blues’ top scorer this season with two goals, which both came in the same game against Luton Town last month.
It is clear to see, then, that Sterling and the rest of Chelsea’s attackers need to do much better in front of goal.
Raheem Sterling needs to improve
Most of Sterling’s general play has been fantastic this season and he has probably been the team’s best attacker.
According to WhoScored, the 28-year-old is completing 2.2 dribbles per game, which is the highest average in Mauricio Pochettino’s squad.
However, Sterling has just lacked that clinical finish and final pass in the attacking third, like most of his team-mates have.

For example, he had a great opportunity to square the ball to Nicolas Jackson in the defeat to Villa yesterday but shot straight at Emiliano Martinez instead.
Had he passed and Jackson scored, you probably would have been looking at a completely different outcome.
For a player of his experience, you expect him to make smarter decisions in those kind of situations. Next time, hopefully he does the wise thing and passes to Jackson or whoever is next to him so that they can score and Chelsea actually have a chance of winning a match.
