Craig Burley has ripped into Chelsea’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after watching his performance earlier this week against Manchester City.
Aubameyang endured a frustrating evening during Thursday’s game, which saw Chelsea lose 1-0 at home to Man City in the Premier League.
The 33-year-old was named on the bench yet again by manager Graham Potter, but entered the action almost immediately when Raheem Sterling picked up an early injury. However, he was then substituted off himself midway through the second-half without leaving his mark on the contest.

Aubameyang against Manchester City
ESPN pundit Burley didn’t hold back with his criticism of Aubameyang this week.
In particular, he doesn’t think the £160,000-a-week attacker does much to get involved in play.
“He came on early and lasted 68 minutes. Did he do anything? He’s not even making any challenges. He’s not working hard,” Burley told ESPN.

In fairness, Aubameyang didn’t really have any standout moments during his cameo against Man City. In contrast, some of the youngsters that got an opportunity in Chelsea colours did make an impact.
Aubameyang did make a couple of decent runs in behind that went unnoticed by teammates. He did put the yards in defensively, too.
Potter actually hailed the Blues forward after his latest performance at the Bridge.
However, there’s no hiding from the fact Chelsea need him to do so much more when it comes to creating and scoring goals.
With an FA Cup third round tie this weekend against Man City, Aubameyang should get a starting position to try build some momentum.
