Chelsea attacker Cole Palmer has made a huge impact at Stamford Bridge this season following his arrival from Manchester City.

In 16 Premier League appearances, Cole Palmer has scored eight goals and provided four assists.

The 21-year-old has made things look so easy, Chelsea legend Pat Nevin, speaking on London Is Blue, thinks he may have hurt some of his teammates.

Not all of the Blues’ recent signings have been able to make the same impact as Palmer.

Moises Caicedo is still settling in at the club, for example, with Gus Poyet admitting that he is a little bit disappointed with what he has seen from the Ecuadorian so far.

Cole Palmer making it look easy

Nevin thinks Palmer is making the Premier League look like child’s play and does not think that has gone unnoticed in the Chelsea dressing room.

On the England international, he said: “It hurts some players when someone like Cole comes in and he’s a kid and it all looks so easy. He’s so good, every single bit of it.

“But I wouldn’t be comparing him to anyone else in the team. I’m comparing him higher. I’m thinking, ‘No actually, you can be playing for England. You’re good enough to be playing for England.’ “

Chelsea players can learn from Cole Palmer

Despite being so young, Palmer is a great example for his Chelsea teammates, especially the squad’s attackers.

One reason why his numbers in the Premier League are so good is because of his composure. He has scored four penalties this season, remaining extremely cool and calm from the spot.

Often, Palmer also makes the correct decision in the final third of the pitch.

The former City man set up Noni Madueke’s goal in Chelsea’s 3-2 win against Luton Town last Saturday and, according to WhoScored, he is currently making 1.7 key passes per game, which is the highest average in his squad.
