Thierry Henry marvelled at N’Golo Kante’s telepathic ability to anticipate the movement of his opposition whilst marshalling the midfield for Chelsea.
Speaking to Vibe with Five, Henry was discussing all things France ahead of his country’s European Championship campaign.
One name from Didier Deschamps squad whose been on everybody’s lips recently is Kante.
A Champions League winner turned potential Ballon D’or nominee, the 30-year-old is back to his very brilliant best following a few months feeling under the weather.

Thierry taken aback
Henry, who is a massive fan of the mini maestro, couldn’t quite fathom how he manages to cover so much ground in a game.
“Sometimes he arrives before the ball,” remarked the Arsenal icon.
“Like he already knew the ball was going to land there. I’m like, ‘how does he do that?’
“He reads the game to be able to intercept the ball, without tackling, without fouling most of the time.

“So many times for Chelsea, you see him getting the ball back and the next second, it’s a goal.
“The capacity he has to read the game and see where the ball is going.”
Tackler extraordinaire
Kante’s reputation has been built upon his skills in interrupting, disrupting and overthrowing.
In his first three Premier League seasons, he was top three for tacklers in the division.

He was also the finest interceptor in 2015/16 and 2017/18.
Often achieving the job of two players, Kante truly is the ultimate teammate.
Gold and silver
Chelsea and France have hugely benefited from his services over the years, not to mention Leicester City, who might not have won the Premier League without him.
The Blues and Le Blues can both thank their Parisian prince for being crowned domestic and international champions.

Following his Champions League success, Kante became only the sixth player to win the competition, as well as the Premier League and World Cup.
Adding the Euros to his glittering CV will engrave him into football’s modern-day greats.
