Estevao Willian is the man of the moment as far as Chelsea are concerned following his exploits in the most recent game at Stamford Bridge.

The Brazilian scored his first competitive goal for the club in the final moments against Liverpool on Saturday, sending Stamford Bridge into a state of pandemonium.

Daniel Sturridge was wowed by Estevao’s impact, with him looking the most dangerous attacker on the pitch after he came on, despite the value of those Liverpool players on the pitch.

This is all despite being just 18 years of age, with him a rare example of a youngster being able to instantly make an impact this big in the Premier League.

Estevao Willian the highest-ranked Premier League youngster this season

Moises Caicedo said Chelsea players have seen how good Estevao is in training, and even though Enzo Maresca is doing the right thing to not rely on the teenager, it is becoming harder to not start him in games.

Clearly a contender for one of the best young players in the league right now, WhoScored’s player ratings actually reflect very well on the Brazil international.

They have stated that Estevao has the highest average rating for the season when it comes to players who are Under 21, with him coming it at nearly 7/10.

This is despite one of his appearances lasting less than 10 minutes, when he was the sacrificial lamb following Robert Sanchez’s red card against Manchester United.

Estevao signing a masterstroke from Chelsea

Despite making it clear they are going to regularly sign young players under Todd Boehly, the club have really struck gold with Estevao.

Unlike the likes of Kendry Paez and Geovany Quenda, the winger is making his mark without a loan move away from the club, and he will continue to start games when the Chelsea players return from international duty.

Estevao is the only Brazilian in the squad for their upcoming fixtures, with Joao Pedro and Andrey Santos both left out.

Maresca will just be hoping that he does not get added to the mounting list of injuries by the time he returns from games against South Korea and Japan.
