The summer transfer window is over and we now know how many senior players Chelsea have for the 2024/25 season.
The Blues already had a large squad even before the signings of Pedro Neto, Joao Felix, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and more in recent weeks.
These additions meant that the West London club had several players on the books who were not part of new manager Enzo Maresca’s plans.
The likes of Romelu Lukaku and Raheem Sterling have departed but others were not able to secure moves away.
This leaves the Blues with a bloated squad, which the Chelsea Chronicle looks at below.

How many players do Chelsea have?
There had been plenty of speculation over the size of Chelsea’s squad throughout the summer, with some wrongfully suggesting that it was upwards of 40 players.
It turns out that Chelsea have reduced that exaggerated figure to 31 senior players after the transfer window. However, it is still five more than Tottenham and nine more than Arsenal.
