Well, the 49-year-old has splashed over £1bn since replacing Roman Abramovich in west London.
Remarkably, a whopping £230.8m of that outlay has been spent on teenagers.
Only a handful are expected to have an impact on Pochettino’s starting XI this season, such as Carney Chukwuemeka, Romeo Lavia and Malo Gusto, meaning the bulk of this £230.8m has been used on talent for the future.
In our view, that is a strange approach when Chelsea’s starting XI already has a few glaring weaknesses.
Surely, it would have been wiser to use this £230.8m on top senior additions who can make an impact now?
After all, that is not a small amount of money, and it could have been spread across three or four top players who would’ve walked straight into the first-team.
Nevertheless, Boehly clearly has a vision at Chelsea, and only time will tell if it pays off.
