Chelsea don’t have long to wait until they’re back in Premier League competition against Brentford.
Enzo Fernandez’s second-half header was the difference as Chelsea returned to Premier League action after the international break with a 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur.
It was a desperately needed win in the race for a Champions League place, with Newcastle United, Manchester City, Aston Villa and even Brighton breathing hard down their necks.
Chelsea must now continue to pick up three points in their remaining fixtures to ensure they remain in the top four but it won’t be easy against tricky Brentford this weekend.
Here’s everything you need to know about the game.

Chelsea vs Brentford team news
Wesley Fofana was absent from the squad on Thursday and it has now been revealed he has a muscle problem that will keep him out of action this weekend.
Maresca said ahead of the game: “Wes had a muscle problem a few days and we are waiting for more checks,’ the Blues head coach explained ahead of Sunday’s game.”
Chelsea will also remain without Romeo Lavia, Mykhailo Mudryk and Omari Kellyman.
Midfielder Lavia suffered a setback in his recovery this past week. Maresca said ahead of Tottenham: “He was doing better in terms of progress, but unfortunately, one or two days ago, he had a small problem, so we will see in the next hours.”
It’s also not clear if Reece James will be able to play. The manager added: “We are trying to do the same with Reece, it’s not the same but a similar situation.
“Reece [against Tottenham] was on the bench, he is one of our best players, but he was on the bench because he try to take care of him.
“We know that in this moment he can’t play every three days, hopefully soon he can, but the main target with him, Romeo and Wes is to keep them fit because we know how important they are for us.”
Brentford, meanwhile, are without Fabio Carvalho, Josuha Dasilva, Igor, Aaron Hickey and Gustavo Nunes but could welcome Rico Henry and Mathias Jensen back to the squad.

Prediction
Though Chelsea are inconsistent themselves, so are Brentford and they are not the most secure side at the back.
Thomas Frank’s side troubled Newcastle on their return to action but didn’t have much cutting edge, needing a penalty to score.
With Nicolas Jackson back and Cole Palmer looking lively again, Chelsea should be able to win.
Prediction: Brentford 1-2 Chelsea.
