Micah Richards believes Napoli’s Victor Osimhen is going to end up becoming a Chelsea player.
Victor Osimhen, 25, has been emerging as one of the world’s top strikers in recent years.
The Nigerian forward has scored 67 goals in 119 Napoli appearances, so we’ve read frequent transfer speculation about his futue in previous windows.
Journalist Graeme Bailey exclusively told The Chelsea Chronicle earlier this month that Osimhen is the number one target for Chelsea. However, it was never realistic for the Blues to sign the striker in January, with a summer move rated much more likely.
Micah Richards has explained that he thinks Osimhen is destined to secure a move to Stamford Bridge.
We think the 25-year-old’s tailor-made for English football with his pace and physicality, so he’d be a real asset to the Premier League.
When discussing Osimhen on The Rest Is Football podcast, Richards said: “Something in my mind says Chelsea. I don’t know why, but I think Chelsea. Because they’re the most desperate for a striker. I think Arsenal would love to have him but they still see [Gabriel] Jesus as a number nine and they’ve got [Eddie] Nketiah. I think Chelsea will do more business. There’s something, I don’t know why, but I just think Chelsea will get him.

Speaking via Roma’s official website back in December, Jose Mourinho described Osimhen as “world class” after facing Napoli.

The Blues already own so many talented youngsters in their early twenties, but it would be encouraging to sign more players that are entering the prime of their careers. For certain, a fully fit Osimhen walks into Chelsea’s starting line-up and improves them straight away.
