Gabby Agbonlahor has described it as “boring” to watch Chelsea right now, which is a stark contrast to when he watches Premier League rivals Manchester City and Liverpool.
TalkSPORT pundit Agbonlahor has taken a swipe at the Blues for their playing style this season.
He’s not overly impressed by Thomas Tuchel’s side when they’re on the ball. Also, he suggested the movement of striker Romelu Lukaku is often overlooked to allow the team to keep recycling possession.
“No, I find it boring,” Agbonlahor responded when asked if he likes watching Chelsea play.
“When I watch Manchester City and Liverpool it’s entertaining games, you want to watch them on TV. When it’s Chelsea, sometimes Lukaku is making runs, and they’re just playing keep ball.”

Tuchel still building finished article at Chelsea
In fairness, the current Man City and Liverpool teams have been playing together for several years. They’re both stacked with world-class talents all over the pitch and play eye-catching football under superb managers.
In contrast, Tuchel’s not even had 18 months working with this Chelsea group of players.
The current Blues squad has shown so much growth in the past year, which included winning the Champions League. They are still getting better and the combinations on the pitch that makes a team attractive are still developing.
Anybody who watched Tuchel’s Chelsea in full flow when wing-backs Reece James and Ben Chilwell were flying will know this side is not a boring one.
This is a side striving to dominate the ball and definitely show flashes of brilliance to excite supporters. Hopefully, tonight’s Champions League showdown with Real Madrid is a reminder of that.
