Andy Robertson was certain that Billy Gilmour would go on to win plenty more titles in his career following the Champions League success with Chelsea.
As transcribed by the Guardian, Robertson relayed his praise for the Blues miniature midfielder after he was crowned victorious in Europe.
It is a feeling Liverpool’s left-back knows all too well, having won the competition himself in 2019.

Gilmour played enough minutes to earn himself a winner’s medal, despite not making an appearance since the last group game against Krasnodar.
However, Robertson felt this was just the first step towards great success for his Scottish teammate.
He said: “To be able to get a Champions League winner’s medal so early is incredible but I don’t believe that will be him finished.
“He will be hungry for more now.
“When you get that feeling, when you get the night out that follows, the celebrations with your family and your fans, that makes you hungry for more and I’m sure Billy will be the exact same.
“He has a huge career ahead of him and it has already started so well. I have no doubt that he will stay humble, hungry and go on to achieve a lot more.”
Untouched Scottish waters
At just 19-years of age, Gilmour’s future looks incredibly promising, even if its stalling slightly with Chelsea.
Steve Clarke rewarded the teenager’s talents by calling him up to Scotland’s European Championship squad.
Some might have seen this act as a leap of faith; Gilmour is not yet capped at senior level for his national side.
However, there is a consensus from across the board at Chelsea and Scotland that he is more than capable of stepping up on the international stage.
Clarke has two friendlies to assess his squad before their Euro adventure begins.
Tonight, they face the Netherlands, with the likelihood that Gilmour will make his Scottish debut.
