‘I hope’: Eden Hazard has already shared his feelings about potentially playing against Chelsea

Eden Hazard had one hope after leaving Chelsea to join Real Madrid and those dreams will become a reality following last night’s Champions League result.

Madrid made it to through to the competitions semi-final following a 0-0 draw with Liverpool, having won the opening leg 3-1.

They will be meet with Thomas Tuchel’s Blues, who overcome Porto 2-1 on aggregate.

It will be the first meeting of Europe’s two super powers since 1998 and only the fourth in the club’s rich history.

There is set to be a reunion of another kind as well. Hazard could face Chelsea, just two years after leaving them to join the La Liga champions.

Seeing the final four draw should’ve been music to the Belgian’s ears.

Shortly after departing Stamford Bridge, the 30-year-old posted an emotional message to the Blues and their fans on social media about facing them in Europe one day.

His fantasies will become a reality when Chelsea and Madrid go head to head on the 27th of April.

Whether Hazard is available for the game is a different matter.

He is currently nursing another injury – the story of his career in Spain – and is in a race against time to be fit to face his beloved Blues.

Everyone would love to see the romantic reunion of Chelsea and Hazard. And football is known for throwing up those moments of magic.

But it can also be a cruel business, so it will be clear in 12 days’ time whether the sporting gods have looked fondly upon Hazard’s health.
