Chelsea have probably had one of the worst injury crises the Premier League has ever seen this season.
So many of their players have been out injured — with many still sidelined — while one member of Mauricio Pochettino‘s squad will definitely not feature again this term.
That member is, of course, Romeo Lavia. It was recently announced that the midfielder has suffered a setback, ending his debut season at Chelsea.
Since arriving at Stamford Bridge last summer, Lavia has only been able to make one appearance.
The likes of Reece James, Christopher Nkunku and Robert Sanchez have also spent a lot of time on the sidelines, and a worrying claim has now emerged regarding one of those players.

Chelsea man has played through injury
Any sympathy people have for Chelsea after their injury nightmare could be about to go out of the window.
In most cases, there is not a lot you can do when a player picks up a problem.
However, it does not look like Chelsea have always helped themselves during this crisis that they have had to deal with.
According to journalist Simon Phillips, Sanchez has used pain injections to continue playing through injury this season instead of taking the necessary time out to recover.
On the 26-year-old, Phillips wrote on his Substack: “I know for a fact that Robert Sanchez has used pain injections to continue playing earlier in the season, then his injury got worse and he spent a long time on the sidelines.”
Will Robert Sanchez start for Chelsea tonight?
Chelsea take on Manchester United in the Premier League later and the club confirmed yesterday that Sanchez has been in first-team training.
However, following his injury woes, Djordje Petrovic has managed to establish himself as the Blues’ No.1.
If Sanchez is fit enough to play tonight, you would expect him to start on the bench.
Regarding another Chelsea goalkeeper who is not currently at the club, the reliable Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Kepa Arrizabalaga is set to return to west London in the summer with Real Madrid not planning to make his loan move permanent.
