Chelsea defender Levi Colwill is backing Nicolas Jackson to score a lot of goals this season after the striker ended his drought last night.
Nicolas Jackson had not scored since Chelsea’s 3-0 win against Luton Town in the Premier League last month, but he was able to find the back of the net in his side’s 1-0 victory versus Brighton & Hove Albion.
Levi Colwill has now told the Evening Standard that the goals will eventually start to flow for the 22-year-old.

Jackson will be absent for Chelsea’s next outing, a west London derby against Fulham, after picking up five yellow cards this season.
He will be back for their tie with Burnley next Saturday.
Levi Colwill has faith in Nicolas Jackson
Following Jackson’s winner versus Brighton in the third round of the Carabao Cup, Colwill said: “You just go out on the pitch and do your job. He went out there, got a goal and created chances.
“When it all clicks, how many goals will he score for us? I know it will be a lot. I am so happy for him. Hopefully he can take it on.”
Nicolas Jackson can develop into a goalscorer
Of course Jackson has not been great in front of goal this season. However, he is still just 22 years of age. The Senegal international has time to grow into a better and more deadly centre-forward.
However, you suspect that Chelsea will not wait around forever. Having spent so much money, they need to qualify for the Champions League for the extra revenue and that is not going to happen if Mauricio Pochettino does not have a striker who is firing.

For now, there is not much the Blues can do but hope that Jackson and Armando Broja can get the job done.
The transfer window does not open until January, so Pochettino has to work with what he has got.
